In today’s article I am going to share five reasons why you should consider going on a cruise for your next vacation. Hi everyone. My name is Bill. I’m an independent travel agent specializing in cruise travel. I’ve been on fourteen cruises across six different cruise lines. Cruising is my passion. It’s my favorite way to travel and I’m excited to help other travelers plan, book and have memorable cruise vacations. So with that, here are my top five reasons to go on a cruise.
The first reason why you should consider going on a cruise for your next vacation is that they allow you to visit multiple destinations on a single voyage. For example, let’s say that you are thinking about going on an Eastern Caribbean cruise out of Miami. During a 7-night itinerary you might visit islands like St. Maarten, St. Thomas, and San Juan with some sea days mixed in. You’ll wake up in a new part of the world every morning without having to pack and unpack.
The second reason why you should consider going on a cruise for your next vacation is that they allow you to learn and explore these destinations before committing to a longer vacation. Let’s say you have always wanted to visit Hawaii. You could go on a 14-day cruise from Los Angeles and explore several islands such as Honolulu, Kahului, and Nawiliwili to see what islands you like before going all in on one for a longer vacation.
The third reason why you should consider going on a cruise for your next vacation is that they are packed with lots of value for the traveler. The typical cruise fare includes your accommodations, complimentary dining options, complimentary drinks such as water, juice, and basic coffee, as well as your activities and entertainment. There are obviously add ons to enhance your cruise like specialty dining, drink packages, shore excursions, and wifi, but it’s not required for you to have a good time on a cruise.
The fourth reason why you should consider going on a cruise for your next vacation is that there are hundreds of cruise ships for you to choose from. Cruise ships come in all shapes and sizes from small to super size. The larger cruise ships have the latest and greatest dining experiences, production shows, ice skating rinks and water parks. The smaller cruise ships tend to be a little older and have a mix of those amenities. However, they offer a more laid back experience and can go to and leave from places that the larger ones can’t.
The fifth reason why you should go on a cruise for your next vacation is the activities and entertainment on the ship. There are activities and entertainment for all age groups and traveler types on cruises that go from morning through night. For example, in the morning you could head to a lounge to play trivia, then enjoy a relaxing day by the pool with games, and end the evening with a production show and dueling pianos. You definitely won’t get bored on a cruise ship unless you want to.
